Here at Milestone, we pride ourselves on providing great customer service. Finding the right supplier to best suit your needs can be difficult. We appreciate that you need a supplier that you can trust. You need to be safe in the knowledge that your order will arrive on time and within your budget. Placing your order is simple, but the biggest stress can be the delivery of the goods.

That’s why we are proud to offer either a 1-3 day Courier or a 3-5 day Hiab Offload delivery service. Please note that we can only offer Hiab Offload deliveries to certain areas of the UK. A list of postcodes that can be delivered to using a Hiab offload vehicle is listed below. Most online retailers only offer a Courier service. This service is limited to a tail lift and pump truck offload. Although this is suitable for most customers, we appreciate that it is not suitable for all.

Courier service deliveries provide a speedier solution but many aspects need to be considered when arranging the delivery of your order. You need to consider inclines and declines within the surrounding area of your address. Couriers cannot always offload if your driveway or road is uneven. You can also be limited to where the courier can place your materials once your order has been unloaded. With a Hiab Offload delivery, there is more chance of placing the materials where you want them. This can save you the time, money and the inconvenience of having to move the materials again by hand.

The approximate dimensions of the vehicles we use for a 1-3 day courier service are 9.9m long x 2.5m wide x 3.6m high and our 3-5 days Hiab offload are 11.6m long x 2.6m wide x 3.9m high.

Whilst you are in checkout, consider which delivery option you would prefer. Again, please note that we can only offer Hiab offload deliveries to certain areas of the UK. Enter your postcode; if your area is eligible for a Hiab Offload delivery you will then have the choice of selecting either a courier (1-3 days) or a Hiab Offload delivery (3-5 days). Please note, if you are looking to submit a large order or enquiry, contact us first. A member of the team may be able to offer you a discount on either your order or the delivery costs. We may also be able to deliver faster if our vehicles are based in your area. If you need your order fast, call us, we may be able to express it.

Remember; always consider the size of the vehicle that will be delivering your order. If you live in an area or road that has major restrictions, you may present yourself with delivery problems. As part of our terms and conditions, it is the responsibility of you the customer to provide us with details of limited access or any such issues that may prevent the success of your delivery. If you have restrictions, don’t worry. By working together we can find a way to make your delivery stress free.

If in doubt, contact us directly. Frequently asked delivery questions are listed below:

Do you charge for delivering my order?

Yes we do. Delivery costs are not included in the listed price. However, we are still very competitive once the delivery costs are added. By entering your postcode in checkout, you will receive a delivery cost for your order. We keep the product and delivery costs separate as we believe you are entitled to know a breakdown of costs. Some online retailers hide the delivery cost or claim that it is free. We believe that you should know what you are paying for. Remember, unlike most, we do offer a Hiab offload service to many areas of the UK. This is obviously postcode dependent, so double check that your delivery address is eligible for a Hiab delivery. If it’s not, don’t panic, we will delivery via a courier.

Does the delivery cost include VAT?

Yes, our delivery charges include VAT.

How long does delivery take?

It depends, approximately 2-3 days via our network of couriers or 3-5 days via our Hiab offload vehicles. Please note that this can change via circumstances that are out of our control or if a product is out of stock. We would obviously notify via email if your order was subject to a delay.

Do you offer an express delivery service?

Yes, we appreciate that you may require your order urgently. If this is the case, give our team a call. We can arrange an express delivery, please be aware that this will be subject to additional delivery costs. We can quote for this upon request.

Do you offer a Saturday delivery?

Yes we do, give our team a call to discuss your requirements as we will be happy to quote for a Saturday delivery.

Can you tell me the exact time of my delivery?

Unfortunately not, we can only give an approximate ETA. Delivery times are approximately between 8am-6pm. If you require an AM delivery, please call a member of the team to discuss.

How big are the vehicles that are delivering my order?

Our Courier Vehicles are approximately 9.9m long x 2.5m wide x 3.6m high.

Our Hiab Offload vehicles are approximately 11.6m long x 2.6m wide x 3.9m high.

What do you mean by a Courier delivery?

Like most online retailers that supply bulky products and pallets, this will arrive via a vehicle that will offload via a tail lift and pump truck. Be aware that this type of delivery requires flat even surfaces without inclines or declines.

Courier Delivery

What do you mean by a Hiab Offload delivery?

This type of delivery will arrive via a vehicle with the capability of being unloaded via a Hiab crane. This type of delivery tends to be more desirable as the driver can usually reach a further and place your goods where you want them. It is still the responsibility of you the customer to inform us of any restrictions that may jeopardise your delivery. Even when opting for a Hiab Offload delivery. Once the delivery has been made, the responsibility of the materials is yours. So be sure not to agree for the materials to be unloaded in a dangerous place or area that may obstruct other people.

Hiab Offload Delivery

What does a loose tipped load mean?

Basically, it’s as simple as it sounds. Within our network of specialist haulage companies we can deliver a high percentage of our materials loose. Therefore the material will be tipped loose at you desired delivery address. For example, if you have a project that requires several tonnes of sand, ballast, gravel, aggregates, pebbles or even salt, it is generally more cost effective to have the material delivered loose than having the material packaged. Please note that it requires a quantity of 10 tonnes or more to make the material eligible for a loose load delivery. We can deliver loose loads to many areas of the UK but not all. It is always best to check that your area or postcode is eligible beforehand. Feel free to call us if you are unsure.
